Maintaining flame-retardant clothing is an important measure to ensure its lasting performance and extend its service life. Here are some key maintenance steps and considerations:

1. Fleaning and decontamination

Cleaning alone: Flame-retardant clothing should not be mixed with other clothing to prevent staining or damage to other clothing.

Gentle cleaning:

Avoid brushing with hard objects such as brush, so as not to damage the fabric.

Can not use bleach powder and organic solvents to decontaminate, it is best to use neutral detergent to protect the flame retardant coating and fabric.

Before cleaning, remove metal items, keys, etc. from the pockets to prevent damage to the overalls and washing machine.

When cleaning, turn the flame retardant clothing inside and stir gently to avoid excessive friction and pulling.

Temperature control: The cleaning temperature should not exceed 30 degrees Celsius, so as not to damage the flame retardant coating of clothing.

Drying: After cleaning, take out the clothes in time and dry them in a ventilated place to avoid sun exposure and heat source baking to prevent fabric aging.

2. Froning and finishing

Low temperature ironing: flame retardant clothing should not use high temperature ironing, it is best to use medium temperature or low temperature setting, and turn the clothes inside before ironing to protect the flame retardant coating.

Gently ironing: In order to improve the wear resistance of the flame retardant coating, you can gently ironing with an iron, but avoid excessive force.

Fold neatly: Before storage, fold the flame-retardant clothing neatly to avoid wrinkles and indentations.

3. Storage and protection

Storage environment: Flame-retardant clothing should be stored in a cool, dry, ventilated and safe place, away from direct sunlight and damp environment.

Packaging protection: Flame-retardant suits can be placed in sealed bags or packaging boxes to reduce the attachment of dust and dirt.

Regular inspection: Check the condition of the flame-retardant clothing regularly, including whether there is damage, wear or fading in the seam, cuff, neckline and other parts. If damaged or worn parts are found, they should be repaired or replaced in time.

Avoid contact with corrosive materials: Flame retardant clothing should not be stored with corrosive materials, oil or other flammable materials to prevent chemical corrosion or pollution.

4. Scrap and renewal

Immediate scrapping: Flame-retardant clothing should be scrapped immediately if one of the following situations occurs during maintenance:

When liquid acid and alkali chemicals penetrate the back of the outer fabric.

When there is breakage, broken stitches, mildew, or oil that cannot be cleaned.

If the use or storage time exceeds 1 year, it should be sampled for inspection, and if it fails to pass the test, the whole batch should be scrapped immediately.

Replacement: With the growth of use time, the performance of flame retardant clothing will gradually decline. Regular replacement is therefore recommended to ensure staff safety.
