As enterprises become more aware of the importance of antistatic, the demand for antistatic work clothes is increasing, and there are more and more manufacturers of antistatic clothes, including some small workshops without any qualifications. When purchasing antistatic clothing, you must carefully screen to avoid buying genuine antistatic clothing that is shoddy.
As the name suggests, antistatic clothing is a kind of special clothing used to prevent static electricity and is used in some special industries. First, we need to understand how it is made. Since it is used for special work, the requirements for its fabrics are very professional. After the fabric is finished with an antistatic finishing agent, it is blended with grafted and hydrophilic fibers to improve the fabric's hygroscopicity, and then embedded with conductive fibers. These raw materials determine its particularity and accelerate the leakage or neutralization of static electricity in the fabric, thereby preventing the accumulation of static electricity on clothing and applying it to daily life. Let’s take a look at the characteristics of qualified antistatic clothing.
Antistatic fabrics are blended with conductive fibers or antistatic synthetic fibers or both at roughly equal intervals or in a uniform pattern during the weaving process. First of all, antistatic clothing with good fabrics has black carbon fiber conductive threads embedded in the fabric, which can prevent static electricity. High-quality conductive threads have more stable antistatic properties. If you look at it with the naked eye, the more obvious the wires are, the better, and the smaller the spacing between wires, the better. Although some fabrics say it is 0.5, but measure it carefully, if the direct distance between its carbon fiber conductive threads is greater than 0.5, this kind of fabric is unqualified.
Conductive fibers refer to fibers made entirely or partially of metal or organic conductive materials or sub-conductive materials, with a volume resistivity v ~ between 104 ~ 109/cm. According to the distribution of conductive components in the fiber, conductive fibers are generally divided into three types: uniform, coated and composite.
Secondly, well-made and qualified antistatic clothing is also very carefully crafted. Imported sewing equipment is used, the stitches are neat and fine, and the machine head is wireless. Such antistatic clothing is not easy to break and can be worn longer.
Third, comply with international standards. When purchasing antistatic clothing, only passing the point-to-point resistance test does not mean that it is qualified antistatic clothing. Try to buy products with product qualification test reports in accordance with international standards.
