There are a lot of combustible gases and explosive mixtures in the petrochemical industry, and these dangerous substances are easy to generate and accumulate electrostatic charges. When the electrostatic potential reaches a certain degree and discharge conditions are available, the generated discharge spark energy may be greater than the minimum ignition energy of dangerous substances, resulting in an explosion or fire accident. At the same time, static electricity is a natural phenomenon that can not be completely avoided, and it is particularly common in the production environment of the petrochemical industry. During the operation, due to friction, contact and other factors, it is easy to generate static electricity and accumulate on the clothing.

Anti-static clothing is sewn with anti-static fabric to prevent the accumulation of static electricity in clothes. The fabric is roughly equal intervals or evenly mixed with all or part of the use of metal or organic conductive materials made of anti-static fibers or anti-static synthetic fibers, or a mixture of the two.

By wearing anti-static clothing, workers can protect themselves by significantly reducing the risk of explosions and fires caused by static electricity.
