A qualified anti-static suit can be washed more than 100 times, while maintaining the anti-static effect does not decay. The function of the ESD suit deteriorates with the increase of wearing time. In normal use, the factors that lead to the decline of the function of antistatic clothing are mainly in the following three aspects:

First, the anti-static clothing is subjected to various mechanical forces in the process of wearing, such as friction, pulling and so on. When workers wear ESD clothes to work, the surface of the clothes may be damaged by various mechanical forces due to constant activities. As a result, the ESD performance may be degraded or even lost.

Second, the wrong washing method. The wrong cleaning method or the upper limit of cleaning times can affect the performance of ESD clothing. In particular, the wrong cleaning method is devastating to the performance of antistatic clothing. The use of strong acidic and alkaline solvents and the pulling force of the equipment can destroy the conductive fibers of the antistatic clothing, resulting in the deterioration of the performance of the antistatic clothing.

3. Aging of conductive fibers in anti-static clothing fabrics.

Fourth, with the growth of use time, the conductive fibers in the anti-static clothing fabric will gradually age. Aging of conductive fibers will reduce their electrical conductivity, which will affect the overall performance of ESD clothing.
