Often wear antistatic clothes at work, do you know how antistatic clothes release static electricity?

1. First of all, anti-static work clothing refers to work clothes sewn with anti-static fabric to prevent the accumulation of static electricity on the clothing. Anti-static fabrics are fabrics that are roughly equally spaced or evenly mixed with conductive fibers or anti-static synthetic fibers or a mixture of both.

2. Conductive fiber refers to all or part of the use of metal or organic conductive materials or subconductive materials made of fibers, its volume resistivity ρv ~ between 104 ~ 109Ω/cm. According to the distribution of conductive components in the fiber, the conductive fiber can be divided into three categories: uniform conductive component type, conductive component covering type and conductive component compound type. The vast majority of anti-static fabrics are made of conductive fibers, especially conductive components, that is, composite fibers are the most used.

3. The anti-static working clothing made of conductive fiber added to the chemical fiber fabric is based on the two mechanisms of charge leakage and neutralization. When the fabric is grounded, the static electricity on the fabric is not only neutralized by the corona discharge of the conductive fiber, but also discharged to the ground through the conductive fiber. When not grounded, the electricity is dissipated by the faint corona discharge of the conductive fiber.
